Should I junk this 4.8 block or will it work? 
I noticed this when I was installing the heads. Just got it back from machine shop. They didn't say anything about it.
what you guys think, will it still work under boost or do I need to purchase another 4.8 block?
I don’t see any problem. If you are talking about the cast surface between the lifters, it doesn't have to seal there and won’t cause any ssues. A lot of the blocks are like that.
Your lifter tray looks to be upside down too, but I don’t think that will cause any problems either. Easy to fix though just in case I am wrong.
