t-rex cam would make the perfect stroker motor cam IMO!

to big for stock cubes but with more, it would be like an x2

Hey Scott, how are you doing, back in town for a few weeks then back to Trinadad to work on the drill rigs, hope to have the motor done before I leave. I will most likley go with the T-REX I like the upper rpm hp it has. When I get it done I will let you know so you can take it for ride.

Also if you knew the specs, and some one else had it for a better price I bet you would still buy the most expensive cam. I work to damn hard for my money to give it away. Must be nice to be rich!

Also when I wen't to pick up my car after the cam install with the X2, I was pissed to find out there was no cam card.
Hell I going to buy the T-REX just because they proud enough of their product to list the specs.

Sorry, I am done preaching, Thanks for all the good info!!!

John - Things are going great with me, how have you been? Sweet choice of cam, you may need something bigger than the X3 for a stroker anyways, it will be cool to see a TREX cam here in AZ, this way we can do some comparisons with the X3 and the TREX. I can't WAIT to drive that beast, I will hate driving my car after yours though

EXACTLY. Lou worked too damn hard for these cams to let people just copy his specs. And to whoever said it costs $100 to maket he cam......I guarantee you that it costs LG more than $100 to make one of those. The R&D and knowledgeable customer support of a great company like that is what you are paying for.

I understand very well why Lou won't give out the specs. BUT!! Thunder racing has no problem giving out their specs, I guess their R&D must be free. Cam blanks are cheap and all the grinding is done by a cnc grinder so there is very little cost. You can buy a S.B. chev cam for around a 100 to 200 bucks, about the same size for raw material, same time to grind AND some one did the R&D. I have been in sales on and off for 30 years now, and there is a saying when it comes to pricing" what ever the market will bear" I just like paying a fair price. Sorry if I afended any one, its just a cam.

then go with the trex, look at the cam only list in the drag racing section, 3 out of five of the fastest cars are on a trex 2 are m6 cars and the other is auto, all in pretty crappy weather, i think 10.5 cam only is possible with good air and a good setup. and i do street drive mine alot, its not half as bad a people say it is that have never had it. and i think all the threads that said its lacking the low end torque to come out the hole fast has been proven wrong now.

the g5x2 seems to be a pretty good cam also.

I did, I have a X2 in my car now and I like it, but wanted some thing different for the new 382 I am building thats why I wanted specs so I didn't get almost the same cam. Is that so wrong? I have 4:10 gears and drive on the street only so the no low end power will help my traction problem

LG dosen"t make the cams, my X2 came sealed in a comp cam box with the part number scraped off, how do you know that comp didn't do the R&D?

no nothing wrong with wanting to know the specs, personaly i wouldnt buy a cam without specs, but that just me, if its missing low end than id hate to see what would happen with more low end with nittos i can punch it at 2500 and blast them, thats enough for me.

hard to say, i would think the x2 might have a lil more, but i know from 2500 and up my 245 nittos are useless. has alot to do with gearing also. my gears dont help traction on the street. but i have been driving it for the past few hours like a sane driver and it felt great
