Again thank you for the info and guidance. Funny enough, i manged to find an 6.0 LQ4 bare block with caps still, from an H2. Will need have to have the block checked to see if it can just be honed or if I'll have to have it bored to 4.005 or even 4.030. Since it doesn't come with a crank, pretty much the sky's the limit now. A forged crank, rods and piston definetly will be in its future though. guess I know which route I'm going with 😁 Im excited 😁

Good find JoshuaGrooms83!

Maybe start a build thread on it to keep the community up to date.

Meh. Groceries, gas, rent, it’s all relevant sir. Even at the current piston pricing…and additional ring pricing….it’s still an amazing deal considering the manufacturer. You’ll pay $1250 for a comparable set…from the same manufacturer…with the actual manufacturer name on them vs Summit name on them….same piston. It’s a smoking deal really.

I like Summit, and Jegs. Nice thing with Summit is they're so big you're never too far away to get a reasonable delivery date. In Michigan, or Florida, they're usually 2nd day delivery if they have it in stock.

Plus, from what I've seen here, they're great guys to deal with. For the most part, they know what they're talking about when you have them on the phone. One might say, "They SHOULD know what they're talking about!" Yeah. Doesn't always happen....

Hi guys, I'm using pro LS pistons ( SUM-3269434075-2 ) in an L92 block with the stock connecting rods... is it possible that because of this, I have too much piston-to-deck clearance ?

You should be .005" in the hole with the stock 6.098" connecting rods, stock 3.622" stroke crank, and the stock deck height of 9.240".

IF (and thats a big "IF" ) the deck is stock length (9.240") then you could use a Cometic 0.036" MLS head gasket (0.041" quench) ... Cometic (and some other manufacturers) make MLS head gaskets in multiple thicknesses to get quench @ .035 to.040 optimized (anything over .045" is basically useless so use whatever size to get CR you want but don't worry about quench) to add more confusion you can get them in larger bore sizes but smaller thicknesses to lower compression while maintaining a quench of 035-040

In the interest of our wonderful sponsor Summit Racing, I won’t disclose. You can however find similarities between the ProLS pistons and a similiar built set of Wiseco’s…fwiw.

LMBO, ok won’t ask lol, but an interesting thing is I just learned today that Wiseco now has manufacturing plants in China and how them and many of the manufacturers I used to know and trust have all bought each other out and are all put under mega-corporations umbrella. BTW not bashing anyone as almost all aftermarket parts are made or partially made or core components are all made overseas now.

RWB…Race Winning Brands. It’s a Saudi based company. They own the majority of all of our performance corporations these days. Been that way for a while now actually.
