Cam timing gear on, new rpm speed ported oil pump. Did the rear main seal then changed pilot bearing. Oh yeah and then i dropped a lifter tray bolt in my motor and had to pull oil pan and windage tray to retrieve it that was fun....... cylinder heads intake and clutch tomorrow....

There are plenty of people running cams your size with that much mill on factory castings, so I'm sure you'll be fine, especially on a 114. Definitely double check though.
What length pushrod did you end up running put of curiosity? 7.375 or 7.4? I contacted johnson and they said on the 2110 lifter in an aluminum block you could run up to .050 preload. Im trying to stay in the .030 to .040 range.....

7.4 was pretty close to .035 lifter preload on my setup. I ended up ordering 7.425 and am closer to .055, which I'm told is a bit much for my Johnson 2110's. The valvetrain is super quiet in my setup though, and I see no evidence that it is causing any issues having that much preload. I've thought about ordering some 7.4's to see if it does anything being on the lower side of Johnson's recommenced preload, but doubt it'd be worth the effort.

Leave it where it is. You are quiet and reliable. Most guys kill for that. Do not try to fix it for the love of Pete

Haha, no worries, I'm not actually going to do it. The thought only crossed my mind. I'm stoked with how my build ended up. Very likely I'll get my first track passes next weekend.

Awesome. Considering we have the exact same heads, even down to how they're assembled and milled, I'm not surprised you came up with 7.4. I'm using stock rockers as well. Chances are most of them will be a tad longer when they arrive (ex. 7.410), so I'll bet you end up getting close to .040-.045 lifter preload, which should be perfect for those 2110's.

Motor is back in the car, my speed engineering true duals does not fit my texas speed headers that well... push rods ordered should drop em in and fire it up on Wednesday, then drive to exhaust shop to tweak my pipes. Dyno numbers in the coming weeks, 19th of april to be exact.

Holy smokes thos true dual speed engineering exhaust is loud as crap lol! But in a good way, it fit like **** had to hack it to bits but now it looks awesome. Zero rasp and extremely deep tone, this cam don't mess either. Had a couple of mild pulls today and let me tell you she pulls strong.

Valve train is very quiet at idle, I do have sewing machine under load, not super loud but detectable. I'll change the oil this week put in some Royal purple HPS see how she does. Tune and Dyno on the 19th any dyno predictions???

LS6 intake, stock Maf and TB
TFS 220 milled to 61cc with tooley valve job/bowl blend
232/236 114 +4 .600/.600
1 7/8th LT with true duals
Monster stage 3 on a T56
Stock 10 bolt

Let me know what yall think it will dyno, I'm hoping for 460whp

Nice build

Polished and gazed into my DynoJet crystal ball, threw the dried chicken bones down the hall and read the Lipton tea leaves under the stars - predictions:

475 whp with a ported aftermarket Intake manifold
462 whp with a 92mm TB + 90/92mm snout intake manifold
443 whp with the stock TB and stock snout LS6 manifold
