Glad you got it out but I'm not sure about the latter. I'd suggest changing out the fluid in your system if it looks real dirty though.

Fluid was fresh... Pretty sure I didn't drill the other end lol... But when the tranny slipped out, it tore the line out the master cylinder, so I'm going to summit to get a new one

Oh you forgot to disconnect the hard line to the slave before removing the trans.. Can you just replace the line or do you have to buy a new clutch master?

Yeah I didn't have the disconnect tool... Was hoping I could slide it back far enough. Actually was able to position it back to reach in there, but when I went to raise it back up, that's when it rolled lol.

Ended up getting a new one... That pin is a real pita to get out to pull the whole connector out unless you have a vise

Are you talking about the line that connects to the slave?

yes so when you look at the slave cylinder, theres a small dowel pin like on the other end of the clutch line to the master cylinder... it needs punched out to pull the whole thing from the slave... Or, you can disconnect the line wih the tool and leave the metal quick connect piece in the slave. my quick connect piece snapped off. i think i messed up the line drilling it so i bought a new one

Okay! Some people have problems getting the line disconnected from the clutch slave but it's really not that difficult if you know how to remove them.

Yeah I was trying not to disconnect it cause idk how without the tool, was close to getting tranny lined up when it tried to roll on me, that's when it snapped... Had to do the brakes on gfs car yesterday, rotor/caliper+pads was completely worn... Took a **** ton of pb blaster and some heat to get them bolts out... Will continue later this week on t/a

To remove the line from the slave cylinder you will need to push in on the connector while using a flat head screwdriver to carefully push in on the white plastic tabs and then pull on the line to release it.

I don’t have that tool either...gasp...so I use a line wrench, forget which size righ now, that just fits against plastic clip perfectly. Slide the line wrench against the plastic clip and push against it with firm pressure while holding the end of the wrench with the other hand. Works like a champ.

Once again... when it rains, it pours.Had my valve covers painted (thank you dad lol)... Bolt snapped maybe 2inches off of valve cover bolt when bolting it.. Not sure why, I wasn't cranking on it, it still had another inch before being seated in the valve cover

Are these the center bolt type valve covers or perimeter ones?

Did you start them by hand and use hand tools or did you use power tools?

I hate to say it but it sounds like it wasn't threaded correctly and power tools only made matters worse.

No just my 1/4 in ratchet, 8mm socket, standard 6inch handle. They went in tight, I backed them out and checked the threads... Was fine, started again and just as it was 2in from fully seated it snapped. It got tight but I was still able to turn with one hand on it

Well that sounds like its not cross threaded so maybe just a weak bolt but let me guess it broke off down in the cylinder head.
