Budget Build Cam swap

Budget Build Cam swap was looking to do a cam swap on an 02 z28/6 speed that i got my hands on. Originally owned an LT car but decided to go LS. Im on a budget but as of right now the car has magnaflow exhaust and BBK longtube headers.
Im trying to see whats the best cam,springs,etc.. i can go with on a budget. was hoping to keep it under 3 grand. Thanks, also this would be a weekend driver. I dont care how streetable it is.

Call a cam grinder and tell them EXACTLY how the engine will be modded, and how it will be used, then they will tell you EXACTLY which cam you need.
Cam Motion and Texas Speed & Performance are two of the best, but also call Summit to see which of their economically-priced cams might fit.
