Long time lurker, first time poster!
You guys seem to be legit when trying to figure out one of these engine, be it in a car, truck, or whatever...
Long story short, my 2005 Silverado developed the dreaded lifter squeak on the drivers side.... pulled it apart and found bad lifter/cam. Swapped in a low miles cam out of a LQ9 6.0.... 8 new lifters and pushrods, of course new head gasket, bolts, and all the other related crap to put it back together. Fired right up and runs, but now I have a P0101 MAF code... checked all the vacuum lines, even pulled the intake back off to make sure the gaskets were right. Truck has a little miss at idle, hesitating just off idle and accelerating, seems to run fine while cruising. Tried cleaning the MAF with the $9 a can cleaner, pulled the MAP sensor and cleaned it out, tried the reset the engine controller by unhooking the battery, etc.... but now at a point where I am out of ideas!
Anyone out there ever run across this?

I didn’t figure that the ever so slightly different cam would change things much.... but maybe? Is it something that the pcm will start to work out on its own when driven?
Is there a handheld tuner that will do it or do I need to find a shop and have them dig in?

Update to this.... swapped the MAP sensor out of a buddies truck, no more fault codes. Still has miss/hesitation at idle though. I’m wondering if I need to have the crank relearn done?
