Default H/C/I swap complete

Hey guys, I’m a big time lurker on here and don’t post much, but I figure I’d add to the statistics of H/C/I results and maybe share some advice. I did the PRC 227 heads, 235/240 .629/.615 111 LSA Texas Speed tsunami cam, FAST 92. It made 451/404. Day and night difference. I thought the numbers might be a lil higher, but I kept the head chambers milled at 62 cc which kept the comp ratio conservative at 10.8:1. So overall not bad for a 130k mile car.

Thanks man. We only have 1/8 mile tracks around here, but I definitely wanna get a few passes under my belt before I start to think about more power lol. The rear end needs an upgrade desperately... that TA cover might hold it together on the street and that’s about it

Sticky tires and good suspension i guesstimate a 7.25 in the 1/8 mile.

Auto or m6? How well does the 235/240 111 drive?

It’s not bad at all. All in the tune I guess. Only trouble is trying to cruise in 6th gear at like 40 mph it bucks a little bit, but that’s expected.

Nice build. I wish I could afford the PRC 227s . I'm doing something similar but with the inferior 225 PRCs and a smaller cam/SD tune aiming for compression in the 11s so will probably mill to 60cc or so. What kind of tires are you running and how is traction with the 4.10s?

Right now BFG G-force sport comp 2. Traction sucks til about 3rd gear lol. In hindsight I would’ve gone with the PRC 225 heads and saved some money. I’m tempted now to build a stroker LS2 and put the 227 heads on that. First tho i want a 150 shot, M9 rear end, and some suspension goodies to enjoy the current setup before another engine build.

227s on a 402 should make for some nice low end power. I'm running those same tires in stock size. I kind of wish I would have went with a drag radial now. Cool to see a similar build to what I'm looking into.

On the street, you can only put so much power down unless you are running drag radials all the time.

Run some 4.30 gears with that cam. It'll reduce somw of the bucking. Also are you running a MAF or speed density?

More gear as i stated and a speed density tune would put you up on a higher level.

Yeah the 4.10s weren’t as drastic of swap as I had imagined. Was already considering 4.30s for the new rear end 😉

Funny. Went I went from 3.43 to 4.11 I was underwhelmed. Went to 4.30 felt like a huge kick. The math does not make sense but that is how the butt dyno felt
