Default Cam swap ?

Doing a cam swap on a l96 vvt delete.im in a city where the auto stores don't really know about modern engines.i tried every auto store in town but no luck finding the Lucas assembly lube for the cam.whats the next best thing I can use and do I need to use gasket sealent on the timing cover when re assembly

You can use motor oil for lube. The timing cover should have it's own seal. You don't need extra sealant.

You need to use 2 dabs of silicone on the bottom corners of timing cover.

Autozone has Lucas high zinc break in oil that might work

Also you will need another cam retainer plate, the gasket is made into it and they dont seal up good after being removed from a engine with some miles on them.
