Reason I asked is that while looking at West Coast Cylinder Heads' 5.3 Stage 2 CNC heads, the intake flow peaks at .500, drops a bit until .550, then gently slopes back up. I thought, why get a cam with more than .500 lift if it drops after that? A .550 cam would still do better for the reasons you verified above. WAY different scenario than this thread is about, but related!
Jake, (or anyone interested) if you have a few minutes go look at the WCCH site at the head I'm talking about. It still seems like a weird flow pattern. Maybe you can explain it.
