I had an opportunity to get the cam very cheap...I’m not the one that spec’d it...I obviously had concerns that it was too big...I thought I’d ask the keyboard “experts” on here 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

It won't fit without flycutting first of all. Second, it will run like garbage and will make your car a turd. Sell it and buy a summit cam if your on a budget.

...and then there's the geometry. Years ago I picked up a Pontiac 400 that had a "big cam" in it. After I installed it and started driving it, oddly I had to adjust the valves shortly thereafter only to find valve stem seal retainers broken sitting below the valves springs from several of them. So I picked up a degree kit to see what the hell was in there. The fellow I got the engine didn't know. It was something like I 238/246 @ .050 and the lift was around .600 on stock valve springs!!! The static CR was only mid 8s and was a dog until I got on the highway. I reminded me of that Pinto that my ex wife had years ago when we met!!

Anyhow, long story short .... bigger ain't better.

All that has since been remedied after I rebuilt my top end properly.

Like said above if you're on a budget look at summit cams. Their stage 2 LS cam would be sweet in your setup

If you spend a little more look at the Titan 4 by cam motion. That's an excellent choice too.

I'd personally run this cam.

I can see that cam working for a 6 speed car or a car with a high stall and aftermarket gears. Still big though, but go for it. The only thing that I can tell you is on their webpage it says 40-50 gains over stock, so if it gains 40 and a small cam gains 35, why worry about 5 hp, or if it makes 45hp why worry about 10 hp? You throw a massive cam in that wont idle as good as it could or drive as good as it could, all for 10hp or maybe not even 10 since it cant get the airflow it needs anyways.
