Default Help with forged 6.0

Hey guys, I'm trying to put together a new set up and need some help. I have a lq4 block that I have built with a stock crank, K1 rods and Weisco professional series pistons that have 3.2cc valve reliefs. This is going in my 02 Camaro that is primarily a track car. I am either putting trickflow 235/245s or the new brodix br1 245cc head on it. Ported super victor intake wearing a Stinger plate spraying 3-500. Using online calculators it looks like it's going to be rather low on compression. My tuner would like a .070 head gasket for a larger tuning window on the spray. Even with cutting any of the mentioned heads down to 60cc with the .070 head gasket, I'm at 10.76:1. My tuner has done similar set ups on a .051 gasket and that puts me at 11.25:1. Any thoughts? Am I safe to cut these heads down from 70 to 60cc?

I have a question do you know how far the piston is in the hole or out of the hole to start? Does he want to us a .070 to loosen the quench for big nitrous? Unless I’m wrong I believe a .070 gasket is pretty thick for your build

As for milling I have a set of trickflow 235s and I have had them milled for a 64cc chamber. No problem here

Yes the piston is. 004 out of the hole. And you correct on the quench. Bigger gasket gives it a much bigger tuning window

Well, I talked to Mr. Brian Tooley. Apparently there is a such thing as a "small chamber" tfs245. They start out at 63cc vs 70cc. I order a pair with 57cc chambers, 6bolt, PM guides, 50* nitrous exhaust port and .685 spring package. Hurt the wallet quite a bit, but hopefully it will fly

i forgot that they made to small chambers but that should work out nicely for you so you can get some compression back in the motor! What are you doing rocker wise?

I got them with powder metal guides so I can use stock rockers. I'll just do the trunion upgrade
