Depending on the power you want to make, how you're gonna use it, how long you want it to last, who tunes it and if you take care of it you could boost the stock bottom end, preferably with opened up piston rings to keep the rings from butting and popping a piston
Going to forged rods and pistons you can go up to 4 digit hp. No need to do the crank, pretty much ever at all as long as you're still on a OE block, or 4 bolt block (which is what the OE ones are)
