Default Help testing vacuum leak

I suspect I may have a vacuum leak, the car has idled roughly and has more idle shake than normal C5's do. This was present before the SS3600 was installed. Also, when driving through my parking garage around 2000 rpm I hear a bit of a whistle sound like maybe some air is getting sucked in it shouldnt. The car has also tossed P0300 codes before.

I used the search feature and people recommended that to do a vacuum leak test you should spray some carb cleaner around the suspect areas and listen for an increase in RPM.

My question is, what areas then should I test, and will this test be sufficient with the car idling.

Please let me know where I should check (I'm not very familiar with the LS1 PCV system and where intake leaks could occur so please be overly simple with me Also, could this be a bad pcv valve?

thanks!
