Default Installing valve collets pic is this ok?

Hi I'm installing valve springs today see how space between the two collets (or keepers) is even in middle of one retainer and not on the other. Does this matter? Will it effect anything?

As long as the locks are firmly in the grooves on the valve your fine. I always firmly hit the top of the valve head, after the springs are installed, with a rubber hammer. Hold the head firmly while up on its end, and give them all a few good quick whacks. Helps the valve to mate with the seat firmly and ensures that the locks are set correctly. If you have a lock not in place, it will show up with the rubber hammer test.
Don’t hit them with the head laying on its deck. Valve might travel downward far enough to hit the table it’s sitting on, and bend it. The valve, not the table..lol.

They move around all the time as they run. They're made with abuncha tolerance between em. All that happened is, you got the one roughly split half & half, and the other they're more toward each other.

Nothing wrong with that. I wouldn't mess with it. Run it.

It will blow up. Take it apart and buy better parts.
