Did the Gen 3 motors ever have the good rods stock? My issue is im about to pull the trigger on a holly system for my LM7 which is a 24T. But what if i want the stronger rods? My understanding was better rods where only 58T? But if I buy for what i have now im screwed later if i want to have the better rods?

It's all relative. Even the earlier rods are still very strong. What are you going to be using the engine for?

Gen 4 rods will bolt to a gen 3 crank. The rods themselves do not care about the reluctor tooth count. If you also want a gen 4 crank, the reluctor can be swapped
