Default 243 heads

This is my first post had a question about a lq4 that I'm putting together. It has the stock bottom end and I'm installing a stage 4 BTR cam and have a set of cnc ported 243 heads. The question is should I have the heads milled a little to bump the compression ? Sorry if this is a stupid question but I'm new to the LS engines.

Check your piston to valve clearance and mill if you can

Depends on how much you have left on the head material and your clearance. If you do mill them keep in mind you may want to leave some meat there for a future rebuild.

Thanks for the replies I will check the valve clearance and go from there.
