Default Katech Porting quality?

Does Katech do a quality job for their CNC porting, valve job etc? I have a set of 799 heads I’m looking to get done and they have a very reasonable price.

When I emailed them they said they don't do gen 3 stuff much anymore. I would imagine that means they haven't made an effort to improve the port to make more power. Typically TEA, WCCH and tsp are the go to shops.

Don't forget the 500 dollar port job is not including any valve work, bowl work, cleaning, or anything other than just the process of porting.

How can it be called a ported head if no bowl work is done?

I agree with you, but it sounds like they are just working the other end of the port. Not a complete job.
