Default Cam sprocket search

Hi, I used the search function and cant seem to find what I am looking for. I have a 5.3 Vortec engine swap and accidentally ordered the 12586481 cam sprocket. I realized later that I should have ordered the 12576407 cam sprocket. Since the cam sensor is in the back of engine does this matter? Or do I need to send the one I ordered back and get the
12576407 cam sprocket? Thanks

Second question is I dont remember this engine having a timing dampner when I took it apart. That normal or should I add one? I have a LS2 chain on the way.

*Posted this in the wrong section. Can someone move this to internal engine section.

In your case it really doesn't matter. Any sprocket will work in a Gen III with rear cam sensor. Use what you have.

Got it, thank you. What do you think about the dampner?

On occasion and not rare enough is a timing chain breaking. The TFS-30675600 kitincludes the Ls2 Damper and an adapter bracket for non equipped Gen 3 blocks and otherwise.
