While GM states max bore at 60 over, it's safe to go .065 it's been done many times and very common .For peace of mind have it sonic checked . Here are the LQ4/9 casting numbers 12551364, 12573581, 12577184

I daily drive a 2001' #1364 casting block punched 0.065 over! The max of 0.060 is nonsense according to my machinist who says he's taken a few of them past 0.100 without issue!

I’ve bored them .065 over without issue. I sonic checked 2 different LQ blocks and they only seem to be thin between cylinders, front to rear not the thrust sides.

Yes most of these blocks will go .085 , but the problem is the biggest aftermarket performance piston you can find is 4.085 . There are OEM replacement cast piston for L92 that go up to 30 over which would be 4.095 .
