Default safe bore size

So I am starting my ls1 5.7 project with a d1sc.. The machine shop i use has a block all ready to go. Bore is 3.908. I have been told that 3.905 was max safe bore and 3.903 was even better. I know the piston selection for 908 bore is almost nothing but a 905 bore has a bunch of choices. Looking for everyones opinion on what is acceptable and safe. tia

Order shelf or custom pistons designed for that 3.908 bore and just keep in mind that there's nothing left in the cylinder walls to go any bigger after that.

It’s hard to believe that .0025” less sleeve thickness is going to matter.

Tune will kill it before the difference in bore thickness will.

My math isnt the best but i came up with .0015 sleeve thickness? 3.908 - 3.905 = .003 divided in half because each side contributes half to the measuremant...so .0015 difference. 1.5 thousandths is nothing.....
