Hello everyone. New here and looking for the right info and I’m betting this is the place to help. Short and Sweet. More detailed version if anyone ever wants it( I.e. why it sat so long, Why now I’m just doing it after 18 years, what happened the first time we got the bent push rod, shitty dealerships, and extended warranty companies that are full of s) I have a 1999 30th anniversary T/A #861. Need to get the engine rebuilt. Car has 40,xxx miles on it. Has not started or ran since 2002. I bought it used in 02. After 800 miles I hear a “knocking”. And we have a bent push rod. Nothing has been done since that day in May 2002. So I’ve basically had the top end torn off the car while the Car has been sitting in my garage waiting for the day of its resurrection. You can see on at least 3 pistons, they have markings where they look to have hit the heads. So engine needs to be pulled from the car and block inspected and you guys know the rest.
So here’s my question and where I’m hoping you guys can help me. I live in Oklahoma City and really wanting a good shop/company that is reasonable close and that will take care of getting the engine rebuild and get the car back to running while respecting the car and it being somewhat of a “collectible” I guess is what I’m getting at.
