I meant to say tfs combo sounds about right. You have to get intake pressure above cylinder pressure. Usually cams like mentioned dont loose any bottom
here is tfs , fast, 231/239 113 cam.
574 or something hp.
i matched his curve exactly in sim.
same head, flow #s Intake runner length and volume ,everything is the same!
then i changed to a off the wall cam.
at 228/250 112. It was hard for me.not to push the overlap.but ididnt. I am sure some of you know this has been done. Nothing new. Its just not normal. So its ignored.
i could show why in the pressure traces . Its just to much to post. To indepth. Valve timing will always be a question thats never answered 100%.
Was 400 with the converter locked or unlocked? It would be easier if the motor had flat tops and a more efficient trans.
Atleast 11:1 compression (every full point is 3-4% in power)
15+ hp TFS LS2 220 as cast from BTR, PM guides. Not sure how good your heads are. The tfs flow slightly more but have a better combustion chamber and designed for 4" bore unlike 799s.
20+ hp Mamo ported Fast 102
15+ hp Cam Motion titan king 236/244
5-8hp Meziere electric water pump
Johnson 2110 drop ins, .050 preload
11/32 pushrods
Ws6store max effort stock rockers
0-5hp Cometic .045 headgasket
Hopefully your exhaust works as good as it looks. Small valve, smaller seat typical 300cfm flow curve head. Went 612hp at 233/253/110 . At 11.5 comp. 23 overlap
green line
Redline , Adding 0.9 point comp ,11.1 228/250/112 cam and high flow head went 610hp.red line.
(was showing signs that was limit of comp with that cam)
They both have close to same delivery ratio.
I would assume your intake valve side of head is even with the bore.
If anything this will show u guys what does what.
DUDE! That exhaust looks awesome. I agree with many of the previous comments regarding BIG everything and losing streetability.
Car looks great. I would say maybe a bigger cam and at some point some more compression. I'm guessing from the nice wheel setup, this is not a drag only car. Stick with H/C, nothing crazy max effort and enjoy the car.
500whp on 91/93 pump?
Bore 30 over, 244 .650 cam or around there hyd roller. Ls7 lifters or better, fast 102, 235 tricks, dual springs tool steel retainers, tsp rockers, 11.5 compression. Aim for .038 quench, 42lb injectors minimum. 102 Tb, Should get you close. 490-510ish depending on factors like converter slip, tires etc. Should be tolerable on the street but your knocking on that door.
