Default Help IDing piston

Picked up a LQ4 from a local farmer that had it in his shed. Said it was his sons who got it from somebody else. Short story, where it came from is unknown. Gen 3 block, cross hatch visible and no cylinder ridge. Machine shop did not have to bore, just stone honed. Has gen 4 rods which peaked my interest, but I have not seen this particular piston before and hope someone might know. Tried running the numbers on the pistons, but got nothing. The skirt coating is barely worn and piston mics at 4.0002.

Appears to just be an OEM piston.

Ok thanks, I know LQ4 is gen 3, why I was surprised to find gen 4 rods and pistons on tear down.

All engines transitioned to gen 4 rods/pistons starting in 04, even the gen 3 engines.
