Okay guys, got a question for my engine. I got a 2000 camaro z28 off a guy that was blown up.
He had patriot stage 2 heads, ls6 intake, and thunder racing raptr can. All this was on the ls1. Well I replaced the engine in it with a gen 3 5.3 because it’s what I had ready.
So the the previous engine ate a valve and messed up one chamber on the heads. the cam and springs are perfectly fine.
I want to put the cam in because i have it and it’s still good. The car is an m6 and has 150 shot of nitrous in it. I know everyone will say it’s too big of a cam for the 5.3 and the small stock heads that are on it.
my question is will I have any piston to valve clearance issues?
I attached the cam specs and what was found on this site about what thunder racing suggested on an ls1.
