Default 5.3 new timing chain install issues

I just installed a new timing set. Melling sprocket, gear and chain. Used the included chain damper. When barring the engine over I’ve found that the chain is popping. This is a gen 3 block. Not sure what is causing this. I had a local machine shop press the crank gear on. I’ve removed the installed melling set and still having the same issue. Completely lost as to what could be causing this. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. I posted a video of what’s taking place.
