Any good engine performance/machine shops Want to get my 243 cylinder heads ported. Live in the southern California area. any good shops around? I know I can probably send my heads to Texas speed or Mamo motorsports but i wanna see first if i have anything in my area. thanks.

I don't have personal experience with either, but there is-
West Coast Cylinder Heads- 16126 Cantlay St., Van Nuys, CA 91406 (818) 705-5454 --
These guys have been around for decades and have an excellent rep for quality head work. Many mag articles on them.
BPE Cylinder Heads- 702 Dunn Way, Placentia, CA 92870 (714) 572-6072--
Around since '79, do lots of performance headwork and valve jobs. Reasonable prices
And Mamo Motorsports IS in SoCal, in Valencia, a few miles north of Magic Mountain. He is likely the best, but not cheap.

Where in SoCal are you? I actually live south of Fresno, but used to live in Cerritos (even when it was called Dairy Valley).

I have used both Richard at WCCH and Tony at MAMO Motorsports for various projects. Both with great results!
West Coast Cylinder Head CNC ports them. MAMO would likely hand port them.
MAMO is one of the few People I would trust to hand port something properly. I have also had Richard hand finish some import stuff for me with great results!
