Default Cam/heads

After a few set backs I can move forward with doing something with my 2000 T/A. Car is a 6 speed with Speed Engineering LT's, catted Y and magnaflow muffler with a Trick Chassis 9in 3.89 gears. I am thinking of a TSP 228/232 112 cam and all the supporting mods. I found a set of 317's locally for $50. Came off a 6.0 with a bad knock. Unfortunately, I don't have more details on the heads. $50 worth the gamble on these? Car is mostly a weekend warrior and hitting the drag strip once or twice a month.

Do not buy those heads. Just do the cam and save up for some Trickflow heads.

OR get some 243/799 heads, and do or have done some bowl blending and a good multiangle valve job.

If you can get the complete engine for a deal and it's not trashed, having a re-build-able 6.0 for a backup is always good.

I dont have space for a block right now, unfortunately. No garage. In looking around last night, I saw AFR has as cast heads now. May look into those further.
