I was not trying to chase numbers honestly. It’s a 8,000 mile manual convertible. Wife loves to drive it and she said do not mess up driveability. I can tell you this thing drives close to stock, but it’s rowdy when you get on it. To me it’s the best of both worlds. I’m sure you have seen Mavn’s ghost cam build thread…
how do you like the Wilkes heads?

no complaints so far. Porting work looks good. They were cheaper alternative to tsp heads and I was able to get a set fairly quickly

That's well said. It's easy to get too radical with a big cam and or extreme lobes or high lift the first time out picking a cam.

Of course, even a cam with valve spring killing lobes like the old XER lobes can live 130,000 + miles with proper set up, as my first LS cam did. However careful engine warm ups, regular maintenance ie new springs, retainers etc that REALLY got old after a while...and it can get expensive overtime...that's another downside to harsh cams that are less street friendly.

I imagine it would be even nastier in a 5.7L. I recommended it because he wanted something aggressive it seemed, I love it in my 6.0 somebody on here needs to try it in a 5.7 😁

Sorry I'm kinda late back to the party. I did not. I had a t56 swap in my head already, and the 4l60 gave me 5 too many neutrals. That's when the teardown began. I can see how that post was misleading. Sorry. It's been apart far too long. I'm hoping to have it back running this year. I've said that before though.
