Magic Stick stage 3 and stock LS1
Wilkes ported 243 heads, hooker blackheart 13/4 inch headers, hooker blackheart true dual exhaust with x pipe. LS6 intake, left intake alone. CHE trunnion upgrade, dual springs etc. 255 fuel pump with hot wire and fast 36lb injectors.
I was not trying to chase numbers honestly. It’s a 8,000 mile manual convertible. Wife loves to drive it and she said do not mess up driveability. I can tell you this thing drives close to stock, but it’s rowdy when you get on it. To me it’s the best of both worlds. I’m sure you have seen Mavn’s ghost cam build thread…

Thanks for the info, that's an interesting cam. Seems like a lot of potential fun in 6 liter plus LS as well.
.
That's well said. It's easy to get too radical with a big cam and or extreme lobes or high lift the first time out picking a cam.
Of course, even a cam with valve spring killing lobes like the old XER lobes can live 130,000 + miles with proper set up, as my first LS cam did. However careful engine warm ups, regular maintenance ie new springs, retainers etc that REALLY got old after a while...and it can get expensive overtime...that's another downside to harsh cams that are less street friendly.

I imagine it would be even nastier in a 5.7L. I recommended it because he wanted something aggressive it seemed, I love it in my 6.0 somebody on here needs to try it in a 5.7 😁
Did you drive the car with the summit ghost cam before starting the trans swap? Wondering what it was like going from the big cam to the smaller more tame one. I know it would shift the powerband back to the left, but don't know anyone with the real world experience.
