Which lifters for my lm7? Hello, this is my first time building a ls gen 3 5.3. I have new OEM lifter trays here ready to go.
I've been looking to buy new lifters but there are so many questionable reviews on YouTube, jegs, summit, etc. I can't afford the Johnson brand.
I get worried when I see many YouTube uploads of ls7 lifter failure. The ls7 lifter was an affordable replacement I can afford. I also looked into the morells that too many people claim are noisy.
I'm trying to build a sloppy stage 2 turbo setup. 7875, turbo 400, I see no reason to shift above 6600. Jegs stage 2 cam installed, beads are off.
Ideas or opinions?

I have run Johnson lifters and morel 5315s in all my 5.3s and they all seem to work well. Both the 5315 5.3s have Howard or PAC 1218 .600” lift spring equivalents.
I tried to stay away from the GM LS7 or the Delphi lifters.
edit: all my lifters are sub $200 for the full set. Johnson sells stock dryly replacements which I heard are much better quality that the GM LS7s.
