I agree, again. That and you don't know what the Hell you're getting anymore with the LS7 lifters. All 16 come thrown together in an oiled up quart sized zip lock bag!!! No brand name, nothing. Personally, and I complained to SDPC about it, I like to get parts in a brand name box!! Also reduces possible shipping damage that could happen by whacking the metal lifter wheels against metal lifter wheels/steel bodies, etc. They told me they've been getting complaints like mine, and have spoken to the distributor about it. I returned "LS7" lifters to Jegs for the same reason, then SDPC sends them the same way!!! Now I'm starting to wonder about failed LS7 lifters; were they REALLY LS7 lifters? Who knows when you get a bag of oily lifters with no brand name anywhere. No doubt in my mind-Get the Morels........

I will say, in SDPC's defense, that being a GM dealer, they MIGHT have a pipeline to bulk-packaged genuine LS7 lifters. But maybe not...

I'd do the comp cams short travel lifters. Tighter tolerences but you get the lift of a solid with the conveniente of a hydrolic lifters.

I agree, and have no problem with SDPC. Nicky Fowler has always treated me well. I believe Kurt Urban works there, too. Anyway, I also got a set of 16 lifters from Jegs, before ordering from SDPC. They were packaged in the big zip lock bag, so I called them, complained about the issue, and told them I'd be returning them for that reason. Then I went to SDPC, and got the same thing. I never really thought about the GM pipeline, but since you brought that up, it's interesting to note that Jegs is also a GM dealer, in a roundabout way. I'm pretty sure Coughlin Chevrolet is owned by them, or vice versa, as they share the Coughlin name. So, I tend to think you're onto something there. Nice catch!! I'll also say I've never had a problem with Jegs either. Both places are A-1 in my book!!
