Default 6.0 block and SBE with LM7 everything else

How compatible are the LQ engines with the LM7? I know the blocks are different castings and the bottom ends are of course different, but does everything else from the 5.3 bolt up and slide into the 6.0?

If so, what concerns me is the change in compression ratio with the smaller LM7 head on the 6.0. I plan on boosting this build so will this higher compression ratio put too much on the internals?

What parts specifically would you want to use?

Ideally everything except the bottom end. I have a 5.3 lined up to buy for $400 and I don’t want to spend a fortune on a running 6.0. There’s a guy near me selling a 6.0 block and rotating assembly for way cheaper than the full engine. Together, I would be paying significantly less than the price of a 6.0.

The crank & rods are the same between LQ4/9 and LM7. Only block and pistons/rings are different.
