Default Ls1 5.7 build stroke? Pistons? Cam?

Getting my 5.7 block from machine shop Monday. The guy Said it went .005 over so from 3.898 to 3.903 .. what pistons size would I need? 3.903 right or do they have to be smaller?

Was thinking about doing a stroker setup on this just bought some 210 cc AFR enforcer heads .. would it be worth doing a 4inch stroke? Would I need more machining or special pistons for that aside what comes with the rotating assembly

Any cam suggestions if i do end up stroking it

What car/truck is this going into? What Pistons size did your machine shop recommend?

The machine shop needs to be involved in your piston selection. Final hone needs to be done after they have the pistons for proper piston to wall clearance.

thanks yeah Ive been in contact with derek at l&r engines in socal hes really helpful .. they did a full line hone, deck ,power hone ,new cam bearing double tanked my 5.7 block for 585$!! He said he'll have it ready on mon for me so I'm super excited .. he recommended me going for a stroker kit .. I might aswell right? If I'm buying a new rotating assembly anyway? Should I worry about clreance issues with the valves on the heads? Not going over 4 inch stroke

A 4" stroker crank only adds 8% to your displacement. You can make 8% more power other ways.
