You're referring to the difference between 0.006" lift and 0.050" lift which is a small portion of the cam lobe mostly influencing hertzian stresses on the opening side, and valve impact force on the closing side. There's a lot of lobe profile after 0.050" that plays into valvetrain stability. The intensity has very little influence.

Comp has many different LS lobes in their catalog with varying differences in lobe intensity much lower than 50* depending on design. Isky has some in the 48 range. I once saw one if the high 30s on the cam card, but it wasn't a vendor that advertises their .006" lift, so can't recall who it was.

yeah unfortunately we don't know much about the profile than .050 and sometimes .006. I know .020 is crucial too but we are often rarely given that. The .600 lift and 49 difference between advertised and .050 does make me concerned enough to seek something a bit less aggressive. Maybe that is unnecessary or unfounded or maybe not.
