Default Help Me Diagnose

Video Below
Built LS1 (low mile build)
48psi oil pressure idle
Right bank has developed a tick recently
Reset lifter preload with no difference. None of the lifters felt collapsed.

Should I pull the head off or am I paranoid?

Give it more time. Being a fresh build, a piece of grit or foreign material might have gotten in a lifter and could flush back out. Or an air bubble went thru the system and found a lifter. Could be any odd thing that could happen during break in.

Sorry - should have been clear. This is not a fresh build. Low miles, but driven hard.

It’s a royal pain to properly set up that system. Non adjustable valvetrain is setup with pushrod length. Those adjustable height rockers make this a tough setup. I’d play with the rocker bolt adjustments. Sounds like one on bank 2 is just lashed out instead of preloaded.

The driver side sounds okay to me. See if you can pinpoint which ones they are on the passenger side. Did you use the EOIC method for installing the rockers?

Thanks for the feedback. This engine has been together for quite a few years. When the noise popped up I figured I would try the rocker adjustment. I did use the EOIC method on both sides, set zero lash, then 1/2 turn. Some of the rockers on the passenger side did seem a little tighter on the pushrod than others after this.

I didn't take a good look at the rockers and pushrods on the passenger side so I think I will pull those again and inspect/readjust. Going to change the oil as well. Will report back.
