Default Is a 00' LS1 block drilled for a chain dampener?

2000 M6 Corvette, original block

Pulling the front of the engine apart for an ATI balancer and refresh. RDE dampener is sitting on the shelf. It would save me some time to have the Trick Flow adapter ready instead of fishing and having to wait for the part to come.

Thanks everyone!

Easy to drill/tap the holes? That would be preferred over just using the trick flow plate?

No it's not drilled for it. I ended up using the TFS plate. I would recommend using different hardware than they supply though, because the metal seems to be very soft.

trickflow has a damper plate to use with a specific ls2/ls3 damper etc that bolts to the cam thrust plate. I had purchased one for my forged 347 turbo shortblock but never got around to using it.

I certainly think so. That's why I did it that way to my block. Less chance of interference with anything else.
