Looking at what other people have done. Got a 402 with 225 as casts and a tiny 236 cam making 470 wheel and runs 7.4/11.2s @118 at full weight. Looking to run in more competetive classes so my plans are adding a 400 with a brake and I already have a plate kit from NX. Looking to ditch msd intake due to inherit poor wet flow characteristics. I was thinking of running a tooley equalizer or holley ultra low and an afr 245 with a custom cam motion hyd grind. Spin it to 7200-7500.

Looking to get deep into the 6s/10s on motor and spray up to 300 when I want.

I've received good info from vendors, just wondering what others have been doing and what the results were. Mostly concerned about the head choice. Im wondering if the ls3 260s would make more power than a cath 245, havent recieved a real clear answer on that yet. Thanks.

With a 402 there isn't any reason you shouldn't already be in the 6s/10s. is elevation killing your times?

Im running a L76 bottom end with ported 241s and my times are in my sig. i would be looking into my current setup to see what's going on.

So, at sea level you would theoretically be around. 10.60 and 125mph.

What is your current trans rear setup?

I'd sell the 4l60e and fti asap while it's still good. It's never gonna live behind a 402 with nitrous at full weight. Since you have 3.70 gears I'd go with a glide and spray 300 plus off the line. If you dead set on a th400 maybe lower the gear to 3.25
