Default LQ4 engine swap

Hi, this is my first time posting a new thread so go easy on me if I butcher it. I'm planning on swapping the 5.3 out of my truck and going with a "built" LQ4 my truck is a 2004 1500. I just purchased it from a guy and realized it was out of a 99 Silverado, and it has iron heads. I tried doing some digging to see the spec differences between the 03 and 99 LQ4's. So, my question is will I have to doing anything different with this engine than I would with a 03 LQ4 as far as installing and did I screw up buying it?

The casting architecture is the same on the iron vs. aluminum heads. Get rid of the iron, anyway.

You will need a different torque converter, because the early LQ4s had a different crank that sticks out more in the rear.

Unless this is a smokin' hot deal, I'd probably look for a different LQ4, but that's just me.

I appreciate the advice; I picked it up for 800. I don't if that a great deal but considering the prices now days it didn't seem bad. so, my only option if to change the converter to make it compatible?
