I'd get the Patriot stage 2 LS6 heads. Unassembled for $1600 with no core charge. I can put everything on them myself. Now it's time to see if I can scrape up the cash.

I just had my car tuned and dynoed. The end results were 392.72HP and 360.89FTLBS with the cutout open {only picked up 5hp from the cutout }. I don't believe Jason was monitoring timing or if there was any knock retard. He may have been though, I wasn't paying alot of attention. I was mostly just wanting to fix drive ability problems and make sure the tuning was "close enough" not to hurt anything.

Considering that there were no dyno tricks, I was running a heavy-butt set of 17X10.5s with 315s, 4.10 gears and I still have a LS1 intake,,,, I'm pleased. I'm also curious about my timing, my Y-pipe knocks around a good bit. A LS6 intake, 3.42s and a set of light wheel/tires and I'm sure I would be over 400HP.

I'm happy with the cam, especially since I bought it used. You might pick additional HP with the newer cams out there,,,, but there will always be "newer cams". Take advantage of all those folks selling their antique cams!

Just an LS6 intake alone will put you over 400 RWHP with stock heads! The 231/237 has certainly more than proven itself, and it has made as much as 417 RWHP with stock heads on our dyno. We have another customer making 425 RWHP in Florida! It's a fantastic camshaft, and you still have a LOT of potential left. Congrats on the great results.

i have this cam but what i dont have is the money for hptuners and a wideband. so what would be involved in sending my pcm to tsp? would i have to do a untuned dyno run so i can get wideband o2 readings so they know where to adjust it at? or can i just send it in and they hook me up?

ron, call someone at tsp tomorrow. you just send them your pcm, and they send you back a nicely tuned one. its not going to have every last hp eeked out of her, but it will be a very good tune. tsp has been workin these cams for a while now....
