Tick has the speed bleeders. I used one on my Spec 3 clutch install on my SS this summer. Had my clutch bled in 5 minutes, no joke.

This is off topic, but with all the bad fluid/difficulty bleeding issues I've read about, and some I've heard personally, why on earth did engineers go to hydraulics for clutches when a simple linkage is pretty much bulletproof??? If it wasn't broke, why did they "fix" it????

On a production line environment, it is easier to connect and bleed a hose that to bolt in the brackets and connect and adjust a linkage.
Also why power windows and door locks are standard in most cars now. Wires connect more easily than pull ***** and cranks.

Similar thing happened to me. I left my car in the driveway for a few weeks during to cold rainy weather. Went to start it and the engine slightly spun over and shook. Just got the engine out today and number 7 rod is broken with a good size chip in the block where the oil passage is. Had to of been the a leaky windshield cowl and intake manifold gasket.

Makes sense. Same reason for the spring loaded hose clamps, which work great until they lose some "spring", lol
