Hello all I'm I'm in the process of doing my first ls engine build and I have a couple questions I hope yall could answer. I have gen 3 5.3(lm7), I'm doing the btr cam kit w/ ls1/ls2 stage 2 cam and .660 lift springs. I will also be using new ls7 lifters and a pair of 799 heads I got from the junkyard. My question is can I reuse the stock rockers along with the trunnion kit? Or should I just upgraded to new rockers? Any advice would be appreciated thanks.

Going with CHE bushings to get rid of those caged needle bearings in the stock rocker arms will cost $200 while a new set of Texas Speed 1.72 ratio steel roller rocker arms with CHE trunnions will cost over $700. I'd stay with steel rocker arms for their strength.

Look over your rocker arms where the pushrod rides. On my 200K mile 2002 LM7, several were egg shaped in that cup and I replaced them all with a set from Summit.

I looked through all of them and I didn't see any abnormal or worn out ones, looks good. thank you.
