Default Ls1 stud girdle for bottom end strength?

Ls1 stud girdle.
is it worth running a stud girdle in an ls1 alloy block.
I will be pushing it NA to reach my target hp of 400awhp so around 600 at the crank or just over.
7200rpm rev limit
11.78 to 1 static compression ratio
9.1 dynamic compression ratio
Full arp studs top and bottom plus rod bolts on H beam rods topped with forged pistons for the extra compression and heat generated.

So is it worth putting in a stud girdle to aid the bottom end strength too.
I guess it can't hurt.
But is it required.

Totally not necessary. 600 crank hp is nothing for an aluminum LS block with Oem powdered metal main caps. The ARP studs down there will more than suffice.

The way the main caps mount down inside the block(poil pan line) basically makes it one huge girdle. That's one of the reasons you can make so much power on a SBE engine nowadays.

On older engines, where the caps hang below the oil pan line, that's where girdles can help.

Just for conversation sake here…I’ve made big power on many versions of 2-bolt main Chevy blocks. Four bolt main blocks were simply crazy strong for builds, but desirable nonetheless. Enter into the Gen3 LS world of 6-bolt mains and wow…what can we do with this design? Now we have aftermarket LS blocks with 8-bolt mains. Where will this end? The 6-bolt Oem design of the LS/LT platforms has been proven to hold astronomical power numbers under boost, even with Oem powdered metal main caps. I’m extremely interested in seeing what the upcoming Gen6 engine will behold to us. It’s a great time to be a hotrodder guys…

I agree with them being more helpful in that scenario, but a good girdle will also help the aluminum LS blocks, too. Probably most helpful in the 7,000+rpm800+chp engines.

I should have also said that the driveline is a awd setup. So the front diff is part of the engine sump too.
