Default Red gasket removal wheels

Is it OK to use the 3m gasket removal cleanup whizzer wheels on engine mating surfaces?

Theyre not very agressive, and I've always used them on transmission pans and oil pans without issue.

Is it OK for head gasket surfaces? Or should i use a razor and scuff pad maybe.

Gotta watch it with aluminum. If you have an old aluminum head or block around, experiment on that first if you can

Most real engine builders will tell you no.

Some people have made videos of these wheels being used on heads and blocks and then during resurfacing with machine shop equipment shown how wavy the surfaces were when they didn't look bad to the eye.

And most of all the abrasive wears off and gets in the engine.

I'll never use them for that, it's not necessary IMO.
