LS1 ticking

LS1 ticking Hello… new to the forum. I have a 2003 vette with a 5.7ls1. It started making this ticking noise during a road trip. A very pronounced burble/popping on decel has accompanied this “ticking sound”…. Any thoughts?
Impossible to tell you what it is from the idle clip. Could be a valvetrain related issue so the first thing you should try is to pinpoint exacly where the noise is coming from and if it's in the valvetrain then pull the valve cover and inspect.

Is it completely stock? I had the same thing happen coming home one day. I had dual springs and the inner spring gave on piston 7 so I had a slight p-v touch that left a eyelash on the piston. It was the exhaust valve. The power seemed to be down a bit and got the exhaust pop as you mentioned.
Edit: the tick was very slight on idle and a little more pronounced under acceleration.
