High mileage ls1 ws6
current has ls6manifold full exhaust/ borla cat back, long tube headers/ automatic transmission, tuned. It has currently 212,000 miles driven every summer.
Im looking a getting the cam package at ws6 store, mainly concerned about replacing the timing chain and oil pump. I would be considering using my 241 heads having them cleaned up with a valve job or possibly buying a set of prc heads 243s ether stage 1 ws6 store or maybe the brawler series ls6 heads from tsp. I知 really looking to keep reliability and drive ability I知 wanting to throw in some new ls7 lifters, ls6 oil pump, ls2 timing chain , comp cam trunnion upgrade. possibly putting a torque converter in like a circle d 3200 278 mm, if As far as cam gos I知 really looking to keep it stock like , so I知 set on a ls6 cam. Would need pushrods to match cam not sure about the valves if I would spend the money on hollow stems, I知 not looking to increase rpm limiter, just a fun reliable driver
if any one has some input I appreciate it. I keep putting this project off, would be doing the labor myself if I can find the time this year. Thanks guys
2000 ws6
better cranking compression much faster ramps than oe stuff so much better low end response than the factory LS6 cam will give you
Even The smallest aftermarket cam is way way better than a stock ham shaft you get more power everywhere!
And this one Still uses LS6 springs just get some 7.450" pushrods and you have better reliability and more rpm than stock and btw this was like a new grind in 2004 😂
