The X1 isnt exactly a "nitrous cam" either with more on the intake, less on exhaust. but 3 degrees shouldnt effect anything THAT much. Maybe beardWS6 will chime in, he has a setup nearly identical to yours and made quite a bit more power if I remember correctly. Good luck at the track!

I'd like to see what you dyno with an crank underdrive pulley and a catback, you are at the point where you can use a larger exhaust... Even a cutout would help... I see nothing wrong with your NA numbers, I don't know what Jayson does for tuning, but I bet he scaled back your WOT timing advance and has you at a more conservative AF ratio to make the car safer on spray. You might be at 12:1 AF at WOT as opposed to some of the NA monsters that are at 13:1 AF.

Your spray torque numbers are low, I would have dynoed with 1000 psi bottle pressure your 100 shot was like a 50-70 shot at 850 bottle pressure.

Not sure how much different our converters are, I have a 3200 Vig & with just Long tubes, ORY, a B1 cam, & a lid I put down 375RWTQ on MTI's dyno. Maybe it's just a bad N20 fill or you got a grimlin running around that needs to be found...??

Keep us posted on your #'s.

The numbers seem sort of close for what mods he has a friend of mine has the same setup down here. Here is his sig. If i rember right he had 23 degrees of timing.

Well that's the thing.... the numbers are not similar.

Here's what Albert posted:
N/A 414RWHP 381 RWTQ
100 shot 549 RWHP 553 RWTQ

His numbers were:
N/A 393rwhp 362rwtq
100 shot 482rwhp 419rwtq

So.... how are those similar? The only thing similar are the torque numbers, but they're still 20 off N/A, and 130 off on gas.

Doesn't look too "similar" to me for the exact same kind of combination.

Did you get it to the track? Did you get your 10sec time slip? Good Luck!

That's not that bad.... my friend who did the heads on my car and did all the design work on my car, he did a C5 Vette (6-speed) that went 10.51 @ 137mph with only a 1.6 60' . I'm sure you've seen him post, his name is Jason98TA.

Not that bad for a 6-speed car at all. He sprayed a TNT 150-shot.

Anyway, congratulations on the times. Looks like the car is running strong. The MPH is kind of low, but that doesn't matter as much as the ET does. Now.... all you have left to do is fix the problem with it hitting the limiter. It might be time to get a built transmission (I know someone selling one very cheap)!

Can you post copies of the timeslips?

haha.... i'm not saying that I don't believe you, I just wanted to see the timeslip, that's all. Type it out... I just want to see things like 60', 330', and that kind of information.

Once again, congratulations!

Default Re: MTI S2 LS1/X1 Cam results inside... Head Flow Numbers, etc!!

I have the results:

The last time I went to the track before the H/C I ran a 12.7@108. Yesterday We let it cool down and ran it, Results a 12.3@111 with a 1.77 60 ft. 2nd Run: 12.32@111 again..My car in OVERDDROVE was banging the crap out of the limiter on the 1-2 shift. My 60 fts are worst then when I didnt have h/c, so the track might not have been all that great either..

Well, I was for a while my friends told me "Just spray 100 shot on her and see what happens." I didnt want to b/c I was hitting the limiter, but I said oh well JUST 100 shot...Results: 11.4@121 MPH! I was so bc before the h/c and tuning, with 150 shot my car would only gain 7 tenths. So with 100 shot I gained almost a second, and I banged the limiter badly.

So I put her in line again b/c I almost hit the guard rail and let of on teh 11.4. So I launched, hooked OK RESULTS: 11.069@121 I was so SUPRISED! Thats bc I HIT the Limiter BADLY and I would let off so it wouldnt be to badly. I know I couldve gone high 10's with a 100 shot but they wouldnt let me run anymore..I plan to put a roll cage in the car and spray 150 shot and call me crazy, but I think I can pull of a 10.4-10.5 with 150 shot.

Note: I ran the 11.0 hitting the limiter and letting off the gas on and off...on 100 shot..
I told Jayson to tune the car for Nitrous..AND thats exactly what I think he did! Im suprised..ON MOTOR: I think I can squeeze a 12.0 bc my 60 were .1 slower than usual..

Overall: I wish that MTI would have just tested the car and known I was hitting the 1-2 shift. There were like 3 MTI cars hitting the limiter on the 1-2 shift it gets to u!

MTI

Im satisfied

BTW: My car has NO WEIGHT REDUCTION, and on Nitrous dont forget I had only 409 RWTQ, so again, Dyno numbers, dont mean anything

Nice times. I did get to the track the other night. On motor and spray I had a hard time hooking! The nitto`s don`t like the power I have. On motor I ran N/A
60ft 1.7
1/8 7.7
1/4 12.1
113.0 mph
Spray- ran twice. I shut it down early the first time by mistake!
60ft 1.9
1/4 12.0
108.5 mph
2nd run
60ft 1.9
1/4 11.7
121.5 mph
I just got me some E/T to run on. I had major tire spin and my race weight was 3855lbs! They got on to me for my time(11.7) without a cage so I didn`t spray again. My car is at MTI getting a cage and line-lock. New times coming! I believe something went wroung on your dyno. I believe you have more power than that! I`m hoping for 11.7-11.8 on motor and 10.8-10.9 on spray. Good Luck!
