5.3 LS total weight ? Anyone here scale a 5.3 truck engine ?
Iron block, aluminum heads, plastic intake, tiny stock starter ...
I am guessing the 5.3 must be at least a hundred pounds LIGHTER than an old school 350.

100 pounds is probably a pretty good guess.
An iron small block with iron heads and an iron intake was about 575 depending on what you consider ready to run. 480 is in line with shipping weights for fully dressed iron block LS crate engines.
