Default 5.3 swap msd 6014 engine "dieseling" help!!

hello all, i have a 1985 k10 that i have ls swapped with a 5.3 ran by a msd 6014 box, engine will not shut off after ignition is switched off, i believe it is not an electrical issue because i pull the battery cables off and it still stutters when i shut off. scratching my head on this. any help is appreciated

Hot spot in chamber.
You must be carbureted, as EFI doesn't allow dieseling due to fuel being shut off.
If you can decrease the idle a bit it might help.

yes it is carbureted, edelbrock 600

Did turning down the idle fix your problem

Default 1980 ls 5.3 swap with msd 6014

Also noticed that gas was in oil … was thinking that it was due to elbrock electric fuel pump over send gas to carb. It’s measured at 5-6psi on fuel pump… but it’s turn off at ignition switch! Hope it’s not a piston ring. I can deal with a vale stem seal. Any suggestions! Other than going completely efi?
