Remote oil filter psi question

Remote oil filter psi question Just spent 45 minutes typing a lengthy fact filled post and lost it trying to add pictures! So to the facts... I have a 04 5.3 out of a truck in a 73 olds omega a hamburger ls swap pan with remote filter fittings. Originally had 50 psi on start up down to 30 when hot. Didn't confirm hose routing to filter housing moved the filter and only had 25 psi. Switched the hoses and back to 50 psi. Psi didn't move with rpm when reading 25, moves normally when at 50. Can't get warm and fuzzy trying to understand why.

Mine also didn't produce as much pressure as I'd like so I ended up getting a pan with a spin on filter adapter on the pan.
Edit: just looked at the hamburger setup. So it looks like everything is marked in and out. Simple enough it'll go from engine OUT to IN filter then OUT of filter to IN engine
