Default 408 street strip build

Would like opinions on a 408 with CNC ported 823 heads, carbureted, in a 3700 pound manual transmission street/strip car. Pump gas. Thanks

Man, your brave to ask for opinions on a public forum. Here’s a few facts, not opinions however…if the combination is matched, it will perform well. Compression, along with camshaft choice, along with intake runner choice is key. Optimize ignition timing, spend some time on that carb, and you’ll have a hard running vehicle. Rear gear will help in overall delivery. Make all your choices based on available data, not on public opinion and you’ll be fine. Very few here are builders, or even assemblers. Take most opinions here with a grain of salt.
